linux and steam on rasberry pi

im basicly looking into streaming steam to a pi or pi 2 and the only way iv seen looks so long and annoying i was wondering if it would be easier or possible to just install ununtu on the pi and install steam that way and just stream vua steams own in house app ?

Steam us will be limited though but this is worth a read.
Raspberry Pi is many many times slower than a PC - both from CPU and GPU point of view. Think more like Pentium 2 from fifteen years ago. It has small on-board flash (like 4gb), and only SD card as an external storage.

You can always ask your question to Steam developers, though.
