Hi, I overclocked my 4690k to 4.3 GHz 1.15V with only touching cpu vcore, cpu voltage mode and disabling turbo boost. Is there something else I should do? I did the stress test with cpu voltage mode on override and then now I run in adaptive, but it only seems to reduce the voltage of the CPU, the frequency always stays at 4.3 GHz. Is this ok? Should I modify something to get the frequency down when idle? If so, what?

to lower the frequency when idle--enable C states in the bios--enable speedstep in the bios

overclocked that cpu will draw up to about 95w--100w or so under full load
so not sure where you are seeing 10w if thats under load

yeah it might do--think if cpu usage is over about 15% or so it may stay at 4.3ghz but lower the voltage as its not heavily
loaded but not quite totally idle either
