Can someone please help me? I'd like to spend under $350, if possible, to get the best graphics card for my setup.

i5-4660
Gigabyte Z97M-D3H
G S Kill Ripjaws 8GB (2 x 4GB)
WD 2 x 1TB SATAHDD in RAID0 array
Corsair 550W Vs Power supply
2 case fans with Xigmatek Alfar case

Thinking of R9 280 or 290 Sapphire which has AMD Crossfire for future upgrades.
kindly advise

Best Regards

Ok both R9 280 and 290 eat lots of power. The 290 is obviously better than the 280, but for the price difference you're much better buying the 280. Have in mind also that crossfire 280 incredibly outperforms the 290, and it is cheaper too. I don't know how the 290 performs in crossfire, but I would assume better than the 280.

Anyway, with your PSU you can use any of the two video cards. and you could have 2x280x in crossfire as well. I am not sure if you could have 2x290 though, I would check that. I also think the 280 would be better with your processor, 290 might be a bit overkill. You could get a R9 280 and an SSD instead of the 290 and youll still be saving money. That will be a much better upgrade than a single 290.
