Good evening fine people of Tom's Hardware community!

I have been mulling over upgrading my i5-760 CPU for a while now but it's only started to become an issue recently and note about the Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 from the May CPU article has muddied the waters a bit for me.

Ever since Dragon Age Inquisition came out I've started doubting my CPU's capability with some of the more recent stuff.
It gets maxed out when play DA:I and also in GTA V and start losing a lot of frames when I watch Twitch TV and Youtube on my other monitor too.

I'm thinking that the new stuff is just a bit too much for my old 760 and I need something else.
I had the Intel Core i5-4690K in mind before but now I'm not too certain.

I would be grateful for any recommendations.

I made the mistake of buying a micro ATX board the last time I built a PC, so I would want a full fat ATX board.

Do you have any opinion about the Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 from the May CPU article coming in at the £220 honourable mention? I was always looking at the i5-4690k but I'm not so sure now.

The 4690k is good because you can overclock it, it is a must if you plan to use a 120/144 Hz monitor, as for the xeon, is also a great CPU for the price, i7 performance for $50 bucks less, great if you need the extra threads, right now it not really necesary for gaming.
