Hi,
STREAMING LOCALLY:
Can stream from XBOX ONE to a Windows 10 machine. This is simply using the remote PC's monitor and usually for people who can't use their HDTV (i.e. for kids who have parents watching TV).
Requires an XBOX ONE controller since that's sending the input directly back to the console. No mouse/keyboard support.
GAMING with friends:
This is for Multiplayer and simply means supported games (TBA) will allow you to play together online. So you can play on XBOX ONE while your friends is on his W10 PC.
You do NOT have to use an XBOX ONE console. In fact if you did then nothing would have changed. You can also use your Mouse/Keyboard or Controller if playing directly on Windows 10 (not streaming) however some games may dictate or at least provide the option for people to be grouped only if using an XBOX 360/One controller.
For EXAMPLE, a game may allow this:
Friend#1:
- Windows 10 PC
- Keyboard/Mouse, XBOX 360, or XBOX ONE controller.
playing with:
Friend#2:
- XBOX ONE
- XBOX ONE controller
also playing with:
Friend#3:
- XBOX ONE, streamed to W10 PC
- XBOX ONE controller
