My old PC is sluggish and dying and there’s not much I can salvage from it, so I figure I’ll take a stab at building a PC. I haven’t done huge amounts of research but I think I have a pretty solid idea of what I want. I do want to do some gaming, but it’s not the priority, so I’ll settle for decent, mid-tier GPU. Mostly I will just be using the PC for work and movies and such. I’m not married to any of the parts I chose, so let me know if there’s anything I could replace. Here’s what I have so far:

Solution
You have no need for 16gb RAM. Get 8gb.

You have no GPU so do not expect to play games until you have one. Something like a gtx960 sounds like what you want.

Otherwise it looks good.
Your parts chosen are pretty decent.

For just gaming there is no need for 16gb ram, but for rendering or if you use 6gb already then it is nice to have.
Newegg generally has a 16gb kit for $95-105 of gskill so I would look there over outletpc.
Susbcribe to their promos if you have not already.

Only other thing I would change is getting a fractial design define r4, it is a really nice case with similar looks to the antec but just better quality and features.
