Turned off PSU While Computer Was In Sleep Mode

So I thought my battery had died (it didn't) so I turned off the switch on the PSU but flipped it back on and turned on the power. It seemed to see like it was coming out of sleep mode. Even task manager said it was running for 3 hours or whatever. Am I ok? Is it possible for the PSU to hold the charge long enough so that when I flipped the switch back on nothing happened?

Solution

You should be o.k. If you rather quickly flipped it off then on, there was still residual power in the capacitors, both in the PSU and the mobo, that didn't discharge so the system probably didn't even know it had been off.
