Hello tom's hardware comunity as you can tell Im new here registered because I want to ask you profesional pc builders advice on my case Im planning on getting new pc but since my local store asemble's strange setup (what I mean by strange is combining AMD Athlon X4 5350 2ghz prossesor with GTX970 ) so I've decided to make a few changes for this setup and there goes my question: is Intel Core i5-4460 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz) good enought to run along with GTX 970 I dont plan to overclock that cpu just going to keep it in stock speeds but my biggest problem is consern will this processor will be able to keep up with that card? I dont wanna buy a prossesor and end up losing performace because processor will slow the card down or something

Thanks for all upcoming answers :)

The 4460 benchmarks just a few points below the 4690k, which itself turns out scores comparable to the i7. At least on gaming benchmarks.

but wont I lose performance because even when I chose not to overclock and keep it in clock speed I want that pc to last at least 2years so I could be gaming on at least medium setings Im not and overkiller when it comes to details because I never had money for that kind of rig to max out everything I just like to have stable framerates and decent graphics
