Hello everyone! I just had a quick question; after receiving a replacement cooler system that is fully functional (after my last one failed); the Antec H2O 1250; I recently ran GTA V to stress test the CPU on ultra settings. While I was able to achieve 60 FPS (an average of around 61.4 FPS) with my R9 280X and my FX 9590, I was also getting temperatures in the high 60's after over an hour of play, and this was very slowly climbing. After confirming that this processor just flat out runs extremely hot, and I've even heard it called the "satan" processor, or "its like putting a volcano on a motherboard", I just wanted to make sure that the FX 8350 I am about to install to get cooler temps will actually be cooler than the FX 9590. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Without doubt, you'd have a better product with the 8350, since it's less likely to have a shortened life due to the lower heat exposure. I never recommend a 9xxx chip for any system and highly encourage an 8xxx series chip over them every time. And at equivalent clock speeds, the performance is the same.

Of course, it will be much cooler, since it dissipates about 100W less than the FX 9590. And since the 9590 is basically an extremely good FX 8350, you could basically OC to that level and get the same performance.
