Hey, I was thinking of buying a new pc this weekend and one thing I am not sure about is the PSU requiremnet.

My specs are as follow:
AMD Phenom II 560
4GB 1600 MHz RAM
ATI Radeon R5 230 2GB GFx

The only thing that concerns me is my gfx... I dont want to burn out my psu in a month
I was thinking about 450W Zebronics Gold PSU... Is that enough?
Any help is appreciated ASAP. THANKS!

Hello Siddharth Roy,

I'm from India. Please upgrade your PSU as "Zebronics" isn't good enough for a PC with any graphics card and it falls under "Tier 5" list, in other words falls under not even worth looking at, avoid completely list. You would have heard or seen people using that PSU even with graphics card. But it's hefty gamble, which a wise person won't take.

The most important factor in selecting a PSU is its Amps delivery on +12V rail. R5 230 need a quality 300W PSU with 19Amps or more on +12V rail. But the Zebronics 450W delivers only 16A or less on +12V rail. Hence an upgrade is must.

Get this, if you're on a budget:

Corsair VS450 Rs. 2379
This PSU delivers a quality 34Amps on its single +12V rail.

This will handle you rig with ease, giving you peace of mind. No gambles, no worries. Also in future if you want to upgrade to pretty good 1080p performer like the GTX 960, this PSU will handle it like a champ!

(OR) spend a little more and get the one suggested by "SR-71 Blackbird", which is SeaSonic 430W, even better than Corsair 450W, who is one of the best in the PSU manufacturing business.

Cheers!
