Change from i3 2100 to i5 4670K, having a GTX 970 for gaming?

I recently sold my Zotac Geforce GTX 760 and ordered a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming (It'll arrive in a few days), and I have a few hundred dollars to spare. Upgrading for the newest and most flashiest games, of course.

My rig currently has an i3 2100 (Dual core with hyper threading) and I'm not sure if I'll have any bottle necks, so I'm wondering if I should upgrade to an i5 4670K if its worth the money. Or if theres any other CPU thats better for a similar price.

If this upgrade doesn't improve the performance by much, I'm thinking I'll just get the Razer Blackwidow 2014 Keyboard.

Also, should I change my mother board with CPU? I'd be happy if I could avoid that.

Thank you.

It is compatible but if you want overclocking with the cpu you need a Z97 motherboard with an Intel 4th gen "K" cpu. If not overclocking any 4th gen non-k cpu should be fine such as the i5 4440

Dubai, UAE.

Also, doing some research, I've found this Gigabyte GA-H81M-HD2 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard which is compatible with the i5 4670K, and costs about 60 dollars.

Is it worth it to invest in these?

A H81 and a 4440 is a great upgrade then, will be considerably faster than your current i3.

An i5 2500 or i7 2600 would also be a very good upgrade if you can find one for a good price on the used market, and will drop straight into your current motherboard.

After more thought, I realize I will be using this for a while now, before any upgrades (maybe 4 years?). So I'm thinking I'll save up some more and try going high end, change up the mother board and the CPU, overclock ready, in case I feel up to it.

Learned quite a bit today. :)
Thanks
