I'm a bit confused. Can someone tell me what a PSI-SSD is compared to a regular SSD. Are they both RAM modules? Do they both do the same thing? I know the PSI plugs into the mo/bo and a regular SSD has a SATA cable. Is one better than the other?

Solution
You're talking about PCI-e or PCIE or PCIe or PCI Express. Not PSI. But, yea, PCI Express SSDs are generally way better. Also more expensive.

They are not "RAM modules". They are basically hard drives, but with no moving parts, and way, way faster than a traditional spinning hard drive.

PCI SSD is somewhat faster that a regular SATA, and way more expensive per GB. They are still quite new.
But 'faster' may simply mean opening a file in 0.3 secs vs 0.4 secs.

Plus, you have to verify your motherboard can actually boot from that. Not all can.
