And a mobo ASUS h87 plus

Theres a cheaper mobo. Asus b85m-g
Can i buy this one?

What gpu will make a good balance of this combo??

I cant select a i5 cuz my nearest shop got only a 3.0 ghz and i need over 3.4 and the best choice was the i7

Solution

If you're not in a hurry, I could give the right answer. Can you wait?

- First of all, the non-K processors i5 4440/4460/4570/4590/4670/4690, i7 4770/4790 will all perform the same or with negligible differences with regard to gaming across H81/87/97, B85 chipset based motherboards. So there won't be any so called "mismatch". Those processors...

So acording with 13thmonkey the i7 and mobo was unbalanced, and acording with. Tea urchin i would even have to update the bios and its a high end cpu without a good mobo

So i changed to the i5 4440 3.1ghz with the asus b85m g

Is that better balanced, right?

Also im looking to play black desert with recomended which use a i5 3.2ghz
So this might be ok now

sorry for the late reply,

well, i first asked about a good GPU that could give me a good balance with a mobo+cpu combo

but people saw that an i7 and an h87 mobo are not good balanced, so they were telling me that its better an i5

i dont have a budget, i'll just save the money or the pieces, i want the good graphics and good performance, but im trying to save as much as posible

so now after all the coments i will buy an i5 + h87 plus mobo so all i need is a good GPU :p

Those processors will pair fine with any of these motherboards and the motherboards in no way bottleneck the performance of these processors.

- Having said that the Haswell Refresh non-K processors i5 4460/4590/4690, i7 4790 will work out of the box if you pair it with H97 boards. If you try to pair any of these processors with H81/87, B85 boards, you may require a BIOS update for the boards to recognize the processors and work perfectly.

- But the new shipments of H81/87, B85 are said to come with most updated BIOS and they too support the Haswell Refresh processors out of the box. I live in India and I've recently got confirmation from the manufacturer that this particular board the "Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H" comes equipped with latest BIOS to support Haswell Refresh out of the box.

[Please don't take a decision in haste, more information and my suggestion coming. Will help you save some money and invest that saved money on a good GPU, build a great value oriented PC for great gaming experience].

Thank you for your patience. Let's continue:

- Even though the manufacturers have confirmed that the latest shipments of H81/87, B85 support Haswell Refresh Processors out of the box, you need to check with the retailer or can even request them to flash your motherboard with the latest BIOS before they ship them to you. So this way you can be absolutely sure that all Haswell Refresh works with any of the H81/87, B85 you buy.

So after considering all the above points, here is what I suggest:

- For gaming, I would say get an i5 instead of i7, as you won't be able to see any difference in performance. So get an i5, which much cheaper and also performs the same as i7 when it comes to gaming.

- If you're going to get any of the Haswell Refresh Processors - i5 4460/4590/4690, i7 4790, pair it with a H97 board if you want them to work right out of the box.

- Or you could still pair any of the Haswell Refresh with H81/87, B85. But you should first confirm with the local retailer that any of these boards are new shipments, comes with latest updated bios to support the Haswell Refresh processors. If not request them to flash the BIOS to the latest and then ship it to you. Else if any of your friends have a Haswell processor borrow, use it on your new H81/87, B85 board, update the BIOS, swap the processor with your new Haswell Processor.

- The most popular non-K i5 processors for gaming right now are - 4440, 4460, 4590. Among these most of the people go for 4440, as it has the best price to performance ratio, and then get a beefy GPU to build a best value oriented performance gaming PC that can play all games like a champ that you throw at it.

So consider any of these configs, based on best price to performance (that's your priority), as performance wise the difference will be very minimal among them:

Config 1: (Haswell + B85 Micro ATX board)

Three Config Prices & my suggestion:

Config 1: (Haswell + B85 Micro ATX board) $567.93 - Pick this, if you consider price alone.
Config 2: (Haswell Refresh + H97 Micro ATX board) $599.83 - Ignore, as the pricing is a bit high for a micro atx setup, especially when the config 3 offers ATX board at lesser price.
Config3: (Haswell Refresh + H97 ATX board) $583.24 - Pick this, if you want a config that delivers great "Price to Performance" ratio, great color theme (Red/Black GPU + Motherboard).

Config 3 would be my choice, as it will perform slightly better with the gaming motherboard and gaming series card from MSI, also price wise it falls right in between Config 1 & Config 2, only cost $26 extra than Config 1, but gives you a full ATX gaming board & a gaming series graphics card with best cooling tech "Twin Frozr V" & matching color themes. It offers best of both worlds - price to performance & aesthetics.

Important Notes:

Regardless of what config you chose from above, the graphics card is going to be GTX 970. You can chose any of the brands ASUS, EVGA, MSI and use it with any of the configs discussed above.

GPU Brands discussed:

ASUS - Good cooling, best pricing, 3 years warranty
EVGA - Decent cooling, recently extended their warranty from 3 to 5 years. All you have to do is register your product on their website for free to get 5 years warranty.
MSI - has a slight edge over the other two, with best performance & cooling tech 'Twin Frozr V", 3 years warranty.

- This amazing card is ideal for 1080p gaming and beyond.
- Regardless of what brand you pick, the GTX 970 comes with a redeemable code to download, two of the most anticipated games of 2015, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" & "Batman: Arkham Knights" absolutely free.
- Use that redeemable code to download those games here at the NVIDIA's Official Redemption Website:
GEFORCE REDEMPTION

After getting the card make sure, you do the following, for smoother and great GTA V experience:

- Update your card with GeForce Game Ready Driver for Grand Theft Auto V Version 350.12
- Read the NVIDIA's Official Grand Theft Auto V PC Graphics & Performance Guide.

Cheers!
