Im getting a gaming pc soon. How good are them from 0 to 10?

CPU - Intel i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212X Evo
Motherboard - ASRock H97 Pro4
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage - Western Digital Red 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card - Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card
Case - NZXT Phantom 410 (Red) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply - Cooler Master VSM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive - Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
OS - Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Monitor - Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor

I was thinking about the G-Skill RipjawX red 2x4 8gb ram, But which one is better?
Also the Asus 970, I wanted the msi gtx 970 4G Gaming but the shop i was at told me that the asus turbo 970 was better (it was also cheaper).

Thanks in advance!

You can go with the stock CPU cooler if you are not overclocking which this processor cannot. Your hard drive should be at least 7200 RPM as 5400 is dirt slow. Try and budget for an SSD if you can. You can get a decent 240 gig one now for $80. The rest of the build looks fine. Make sure you read what others are saying about your motherboard.

Also, there is little noticeable difference with RAM specs in an Intel build. I would go with the cheapest DD3-1600 solution you can find since you are going for an i5 budget build.

You will be fine with a Core i5 then. If you really want i7 potential at a Core i5 price then you can just purchase the Intel’s Xeon E3-1231v3. Similar specs to the i7 processors but the iGPU is turned off.
