I've been trying to install windows to a newly built PC from an external USB optical drive for a couple hours now, but the BIOS refuses to recognize that it's plugged in. The BIOS shows that my mouse and keyboard are connected, and both work. Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 I'd love some help please.

I've enabled everything USB related in the BIOS, although I never came across a specific boot from USB option. It only gives me the option to boot from my SSD.

It comes with a single plug and only a single plug that can go into the optical drive, which is the one it came with. It plugs into the USB port. I'd have to break open the optical drive to open it, no screws or anything.

Tested the USB stick I have, Shows up as an option in my BIOS, however that link mentions an online download. How would I transfer the information on the windows disk I bought to the USB stick?
