CPU Upgrade Question

Hey there, I was just wondering would upgrading from an AMD FX-4100 to an AMD FX6300 black edition increase gaming performance? Here are my current specs:
CPU:AMD FX4100
GPU:GTX 660 non Ti 2gb GDDR5
8GB ram
500gb HDD

Well the FX-6300 will be able to drive more powerful GPU's, and it will become more useful when games utilize more cores. the 6300 is more powerful, but unless you are upgrading that 660, the 4100 will be fine. Hope this helps!
