Hello,

Recently my 770 went for RMA and i purchase a 970 Asus Strix. When i ended assembling my computer (changed Silicon Thermal for CPU) and position of cooler for more RAM DIMMS, i placed the graphic card and:

  • Doesn't Display any image
Fan spin for 1 second at boot and goes off
PCI-E connector led is white (means it's connected)

What i did to find the problem:

  • Tested with GTX 275 and GTX 970 in 3 pci-e slots and doesn't work with both
    Changed DIMMs
Tear all apart, and place all back in again, same issue.
Changed to 2 different BIOS versions
Check BIOS and PCI-E shows "Not Present"
Told in BIOS to use PCI-E and it always goes back to iGPU.
    Unistalled previous drivers

PC works fine with iGPU and the rest of the components are detected and funcional.

My Motherboard was bought in Amazon.uk in july, 2012 which means it probably have the 3-year warranty still on. (Don't know how this works, if it is the purchased date or the construction date).

Problem is, I'm from Portugal, will Asus Portugal help me with my issue? Or only the Asus UK? Will i need to pay for shipment? How does this work? (Never had RMA something with the manufacter, only with NVIDIA but they sended me the tablet first and the shipping label).
Thanks for the help, and sorry for the long post.
I'm really frustrated i can't use my new graphic and probably lost a so expensive motherboard :\

Right now i can't, i will probably buy a new motherboard and processor tomorrow, didn't want to upgrade my pc now, but well... Going from i5-3750k to I7-4790K (yeah i know, not much performance boost) but i can't seem to find a good 1155 motherboard for my computer..

Will take photos tomorrow ;)
And probably will give my mobo and processor to my father. (after talking to Asus Portugal to know information about the warranty)
