Ok specs;

CPU: i5-4670k quad core, Overclocked to 4GHz
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1866 ADATA XPG V2
OS: Windows 7 64-bit Performance Edition

So, I was thinking of upgrading the GTX 660 Ti to a GeForce 970. Or would something like an i7-4790K quad core be a bigger performance increase? This is mainly for gaming. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Solution
A GPU upgrade to GTX 970 will get you the biggest (75%-80%) performance improvement over your current GTX 660 Ti.

Upgrading from an i5-4670K to an i7-4790K won't get you a performance increase like that of the GPU upgrade.

That's another question I had actually... I use two monitors... would it be possible to have both gfx cards and set my monitors up on seperate cards?? Also i'm using a 600W PSU. I have no idea what you mean by using the 660 Ti as a dedicated physX processor though.

What is the brand and model of your motherboard?

You should be able to use both cards in the same system with a display attached to each card.

What is the brand and model of the PSU?

You'll need a PSU that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 46 Amps or greater and also having at least four PCI Express supplementary power connectors with at least one of them being a 150-Watt 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.
