I have a Dell Dimension E520. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo (3.0 GHZ) and 2GB of RAM. I had Windows XP on there for a really long time. Windows XP running in 1080P is really sharp. I decided to install Windows 7 one day. Once it was installed, I noticed that it really didn't seem very sharp compared to Windows XP. It was kind of fuzzy. All of my drivers are installed, why does it still seem fuzzy? Is this normal? Am I just too used to XP? It kind of looks shaded. Not pixel to pixel. Is that normal? Thanks.

Update: Someone else commented something that worked for me. rmarier83 said:
You could also try these two things as well:
changing the settings on your monitor, like the sharpness, etc., and also updating your video card drivers.

I went to my monitor settings and did "Auto Adjust". Then, my video returned to normal. Yay!

Thanks. Yeah, the monitor is 1080P and it's set at 1920X1080 in Display Properties. I can try a different cable, but I can't try another monitor. I don't have much spending money, so this is the only 1080P monitor I have, I don't think a different cable will help, I'll try. This was the same cable I used with Windows XP.

My brother let me use his. I still notice the fuzzy picture. Like, If I look at the time, 4:16 AM. I will look up to it, and it won't be like XP. I'm starting to think it's because Windows XP and Windows 7 uses different fonts. But, I'll try a different cable now.

UPDATE: The screen still seems fuzzy with the new cable. I guess it's just the font that Windows 7 uses. I'll live with it.

Thanks man! It worked. I don't know why the settings got messed up when installing Windows 7. Maybe it was just a glitch. I did "Auto Adjust" Then my 1080P on Windows 7 returned to normal. Thank you!
