Old HP D220 MT cannot install windows xp

I have an old HP D220 Mt and i do not have a disk i have burt 2 and i cannot boot to them i do have a product key and it has a 2.4 Ghz CPU 2 Gigs of RAM and a 40 gig harddrive

Windows XP was listed in the supported OSs in the specifications of what I can find. Can you tell me some more information about what is causing your HP to not install WinXP?

How old is your hard drive? Did you have any problems with your hard drive or anything else?

Origional drive works well i wiped it and cannot get xp back on i burned xp setup on a cd-r and when i try to boot it says Non system Diskette and i cant boot from it

Sorry for the long awaited reply.

It might be your CD image of the WinXP install is corrupted or your CD media isn't good.
