Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on this website and I am hoping someone can help me!

I have a budget of approx £900 and have put together these specs. (I am looking at the Chillblast Fusion Spartacus gaming pc and have altered the spec for a more powerful i5 processor.)

The processor is the main thing I changed (from Intel Pentium Anniversary G3258 Processor 3.2 GHz (Overclocked to up to 3.8GHz) to what you see below).

Will it run newer games like battlefield etc. Is there enough power supply? Is the GPU good enough to make use of the i5?

ANYTHING at all that is not ideal please let me know.

Can somebody please look over the specs and tell me if anything is not compatible?

Intel Core i5 4460 Haswell Processor 3.20 GHz (No Overclocking)
Akasa Nero 3 CPU Cooler
Asus B85M-G Motherboard with USB 3.0
GeForce GTX 960 2GB Graphics Card
8GB PC3-10666 DDR3 Memory (runs at 1333MHz)
1000GB SATA 7200rpm Hard Disk
24 x DVD-RW Optical Drive
500watt 80+ Aerocool PSU
Onboard High Definition Audio
Windows 8.1 64bit

Also, is it ok to have 1tb SSD only. With no HHD I mean or is it better to have both?

Thank you so much,

Emma. =)

Solution
The spec you have give are far superior than your original one and it will support all the newer games nicely.
Mainly the RAM, SSD, and MoBo.

Go for this build if it fits in your budget.

You should consider buying a ram that runs as 1600mhz
Also, which ssd you are talking about. The 1 tb SATA 7200rpm you referred will be hdd. And also can you please tell Complete specifications of all the parts.

Thank you so much for your answer! I just now saw a great deal on a computer Supernova Eclipse.

Here are the specs.

Intel Core i5 4690K Processor Overclocked to 4.4GHz
Zalman CNPS11Z Extreme CPU Cooler
Asus Z97-K Motherboard
XFX R9 285 DD Edition VGA Card
16Gb HyperX Savage Gaming Memory
250Gb Crucial BX100 Solid State Drive
2Tb Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive
High speed DVD Writer
XFX Type1 Bravo Case With 550W PSU
CM Storm Devastator Gaming Set
26” HKC 2615 HD LED Monitor

I think it is best if I don't try to alter specs. This is in my budget. Is this far superior to my initial build?

Thanks!

Emma.

is the ram single or dual chip.
Also the PSU which come with the case are not very good and also 550w will be less if you want to do overclocking if you don't want to overclock then you will be wasting money by buying processor and motherboard that are overclock enabled.

Thank you all for helping me decide. Sorry I did not reply to everyone who was kind enough to assist me.
My original one probably had many flaws in it because I do not know much about computers and don't know anybody who does!
I am going for the supernova eclipse computer as it is pre-built and will most likely run without problems.

You are all so kind for giving your time to help others,

Thank you kindly,

Emma.
