Hello,
We are running an ancient server software, never updated since 2001 with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.
The problem is the application is single threaded. We have 4 real cores and 8 with hyperthreading (XEON E5-1620v2).
The server CPU usage goes up to %12 and stops there since it can't use more than one thread 100/8= %12.5.
So I assume it is using half of a one real core.
My question is, if I disable HyperThreading will this app start to use 25% CPU cuz 100/4= %25 and double the performance? or am I missing something
Thank you in advance.
