Hi, I bought a hd6870 used to upgrade my dad's pc so he can play some flight sim games.
Trouble is it has x2 6 pin pcie power connectors, but the power supply only has one pcie cable. It also only has 1 cable with x2 molex connectors on same cable. I have a x2 molex to pcie 6 pin but take it I can't run this from x2 molex on same cable.?
The power supply, pc power and silencer 400w, does have some empty modular female slots, so of I buy a male to male 6 pin pcie cable, can I run it straight from the psu to the graphics card? The pcie end of the cable also fits the modular slot. Not sure if wiring is different maybe it's a special cable?
