Hi everyone. I'm a complete novice, but I really want to get into PC building and gaming. I'm a big fan of story driven RPGs, so a system that can play Dragon Age Inquisition and games of that ilk at max settings would be perfect (well not necessarily max settings, but at least 1080p).

Here's the build I managed to come up with:

But really I have no idea what I'm doing, and would appreciate some feedback :)

Hi, PensivePuffin!

You have a very good core build there, with only a couple of slight downsides, but it's nothing big at all, just need to even out the build quality.

This build is NOT perfect and can still be improved up in, but it hopefully should give you and others a rough guideline on what need to be worked on.
A cpu upgrade to something such as the hyper 212 would be a valid future upgrade.

Thank you very much for responding. If you don't mind my asking, what is it that makes this motherboard an improvement? (Still not quite savvy enough to work it out for myself :p )

It's not an improvement, it's just that the other board was much more than you needed, hence the bigger price tag, and the psu is just a better model. Sorry but I gotta wake up early tomorrow, i'll check on this thread first thing! Bye!
