My current card is Nvidia GeForce 9200 , 3g ram , my processor AMD Athlon II X2 220 which is what I would also like to upgrade , however, if I dont and only upgrade my graphics card with the appropriate power supply will I see a significant gaming improvement? The games I like to play are WoW(sometimes),Star wars the old republic , Tera and final fantasy, so this what Im looking to be able to play instead of just WoW. When I say play I mean atleast medium settings
.I could also get a EVGA GeForce GT 740 2GB ,Sapphire Radeon R7 250 2GB or Zotac GeForce GT 740 1GB graphics card , if I Get any of these card will I then see a significant gaming improvement?

Solution
Not really: the 10 and 20 are for home theatres, 30 and 40 are for light gaming, 50 and 60 for med settings(you can get by with a nice balance) and the 70, 80, 90 and Ti's are for serious gaming.

The 610 isn't really a gaming card at all. I mean, technically it's about twice to 3 times faster than the 9200 but even then it's a really low end card. I would seriously recommend that you either save some cash and get an actual gaming card or maybe look at getting something used like a 5770 or other mid range card of the last few generations.

WoW is a relatively CPU heavy game due to it being an MMORPG, and recently the GPU requirement has gotten more as well.

I would upgrade the entire rig (CPU, Mobo, RAM & GPU).

Also, for gaming, my personal rule of thumb is, if you are going nVidia, do not go for any cards whose model number ends in less than 50, preferably cards whose model end in 60 or higher. For AMD, no less than 60 and preferably higher than 70.

Anything below a 40 for nVidia or 50 for AMD are not GPU's, they are really just display output adapters.

if you absolutely have to buy one first, buy a gpu like the gtx 750ti. Most games aren't cpu bound and the gpu does most of the workload in vast majority of games. Power supply is so minimal, you don't have to connect a power supply connector to it.

Neweggflash will have a sale on one in a few hours, they're usually refurbished(so like 30-50%off) and perform as well or better than the xbox one in benchmarks.
