Games crash, no apparent issues in stress tests

I am currently having an issue with games crashing. In particular, a game will freeze and I can end the task by alt-tabbing to the task manager. Occasionally a crash/freeze will be preceded by a few seconds of artifacts (random black lines and triangles). Event viewer sometimes shows an "Application Hang" error and sometimes shows an nvlddmkm error. However, I have tried both the Unigine Heaven benchmark and Furmark and didn't see any errors or crashes in multiple rounds with 20+ minutes of stress testing. Just wanted to get some advice on next steps to determine if the graphics card is going bad or if there may be some other cause.

Oddly enough, a few weeks ago, I was having some more severe crashes (BSOD with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) that eventually led to a reboot loop. The BSODs were eliminated by replacing memory that showed errors in Memtest86. The new memory checks out fine. Is it odd that both the RAM and potentially the graphics card are failing at the same time?

System specs:
CPU: i7-3770k
GPU: EVGA 780Ti
Motherboard: Asrock Z77 extreme4
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB 1600 CL9
Power Supply: Corsair TX750

ram issues can cause crashes which can cause software issues.

Re-install the drivers, run windows repair.

Thanks for the reply. I was traveling for work and couldn't work on the issue until recently. I tried reinstalling Windows, but unfortunately the crashes continue. I figured it's probably the graphics card, but that seems like an odd coincidence.
