Hi guys! my pc ive had for a long time, and I think it's time to upgrade! But instead of upgrading my components I figured i'd just build a new one if possible and if cheaper..

My current rig is basically;
Asus P7p55d
i5-750 at 3.6ghz
Radeon HD 6870 (the xfx DD one)
8 Gigs of OCZ ram prob 1333mhz
900W corsair (overkill lol)

So, I was wondering if it's worth to upgrade what i already have, because I figured the CPU might bottleneck any newer GPU's.. Anyone got some ideas on what to do in my case??
Thanks in advance.

Solution
As long as you believe your case and current power supply are sufficient and can accommodate the upgrade, I'd do this, or possibly swap in a GTX 970 if you prefer. If you plan to game at higher resolutions, I'd stick with the 290x which is currently less expensive anyhow.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($125.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($55.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290X 4GB Gaming Video Card ($299.99 @ Newegg)

That should game pretty much any current title at Ultra with a 1440p or lower resolution, certainly at 1080p.
