Hi,

I have a hyper 212 cooling my AMD FX6300 Black Edition at its stock 3.5GHz. It avrages at around 30C. When I'm gaming however it reaches around 50C..... then THERMAL THROTTLES its self until it goes back to around 30C then is back to normal... until it reaches 50C again then so on and so on!

Any idea why it is doing this? Its really annoying when I'm gaming. It should not be throttling at only 50C am I right?? I don't know what's going on and its preventing me from gaming.

Thanks a lot,
Laurie :)

Have you tried messing around with the settings? Their could be a specific setting that makes it thermal throttle. As in setting to underclock after a certain threshold is met. I know asus has specific programs for that. Don't know the names. Try messing around till you find out whats wrong.

I am very sorry! I don't know what I was thinking, to make it clear my CPU is the "AMD FX6300 Black Edition".

I have amended the post.

I honestly thought of that however I'm running Windows 8.1 and none of Asus' programs run on higher then 7 :pt1cable:

I'll see what I can do in the Bios,
Thanks for your help :)
