So i have an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series graphics card and in many games like WoW, HoTS or Neverwinter online the graphics on my screen flicker. There usually appear black boxes in front of other stuff and they flicker. One way i have found to fix the problem is to change the overall graphics settings through the in game menu and then change it back. At least that is what works in wow and hots. In neverwinter online the problem was persistent and didnt get "fixed". It has also happened once during a youtube video in full screen where a thin greenish line appeared every 2 to 5 seconds. Any idea on what is causing the problem or a fix it? Is my graphics card faulty?

I believe what you are describing are artifacts. If so, then yes, there is a problem with the graphics card. I first recommend trying to reinstall the graphic drivers. Use Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall the drivers and then install the latest drivers or non beta drivers. After that, if the problem still persists, you can try downclocking the card. It may or may not help. I remember having my fair share of issues with my R9 290X and remembering my friend having some artifact issues with his R9 270X. Sometimes, it could be the problem with the VRAM or something else. What temperatures do you get for your card?

I uninstalled my graphics card drivers and installed the previous version and it seems to have fixed the problem at least for now. I am not exactly sure because it doesn't always happen and not in every game. In pillars of eternity for example i have never seen this. Regarding your question about temperatures, my graphics card temperature ranged from 38 to 57 degrees Celsius when i played neverwinter online and having set everything to maximum.
