I've been having some weird errors on my PC lately, nothing I can easily put my finger on, it just seems to be acting weird.
I got a 1e blue screen when I played a game the other day and when I'm using firefox it keeps freezing where it normally wouldn't.
I think the HDD containing my OS (Win7 64bit ultimate) is the culprit. Times are tough and the other day we ran out of electricity on our stupid profiteering pre-payment meter and my PC shut down badly, things went weird since then.
I have completely removed and reinstalled video drivers, direct x and reverted to a restore point from before.
I have done an error check on every HDD on my PC and HD Tune found a few bad blocks on said OS drive. My question then, is whether it's possible to identify the data stored on the bad blocks so that I can systematically repair the affected software?
I'm pretty well versed in diagnosing problems compared to the average individual, but I'm self taught so sometimes I need a little help! Thank you
