so, i attached the networking lan cable to my pc from my router but it says unidentified network. please help me out as what i should do.
i entered the ip address dns server and default gateway the same as what appears when i connect to the router wirelessly.
i pinged the ipaddress ping 192.168.1.1 and received "request timed out" on command prompt.
please tell me if any other details are required to solve my problem. :/

yes, my router is currently working with 3 android devices 3 laptops wireless and i attached a lan cable to my pc which was earlier working with the same router in wireless way. i wanted it to work with LAN cable instead of wireless.
and, i did set it up on automatic mode (obtain an ipaddress automatically) but couldn't get it to work. also i tried entering the ip address shown in other devices but no luck. :/

Open command prompt (Start | Run -> cmd.exe) both on working and non-working computer, and execute (on both) "ipconfig /all". Click on upper-left corner of the command prompt (over C:\ icon), Edit | Select all, then Edit | Copy. Paste results here (you might want to put them on a text file, then to an USB key, to move it from non-working computer to the one you are posting from)
