Old drive for page file

I'm putting this question here in Memory as it's sort of related, hope that's OK.

I have an old 250gb drive (Samsung SP2504C), 7400 rpm, SATA-300 (3gb/s) with NCQ, 8.9ms access time, only has 8m cache (I notice that modern HDD drives have more like 64mb).

I'm thinking about using it as a drive purely for a page file (GTA V is very heavy on swap file and causing stuttering, sigh). Considering its age and limitations, is this actually worth doing? Or is it a case that having a page file on a second physical drive on a different channel will give performance boost despite it being a bit old and slow?

Thx for help :)

Solution
Yes you can put the swap/page file on it, best bet if you can is more DRAM so the pagefile isn't needed as much, if kept in DRAM everything is faster than having to go to a page file ;)
