Since I had had this pc I have had random lockups related to my PC, in which only a reset can make the computer usable again. I was really confused and decided to turn on crash dumps. I analysed the dumps and it pointed out that the problem was caused by IOMap64.sys. I checked my PC and it was in the AI Suite III folder, so i decided to uninstall it. However, the problem still persisted and still pointed to IOMap64.sys as the problem. I checked my c drive again and it is in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\VGA COM\1.00.20

could someone please tell me what program/driver this system file is attributed to, how to uninstall it and whether I should download an older version of a certain Asus Driver to remedy this problem.

Specs:
i7-5280k
DDR4 RAM
Palit GTX 780
Asus X99-A
Deepcool cpu cooler
Aerocool X-strike power supply 80+ gold
120GB Kingston SSD
2TB Hard Drive.

My understanding of IOMap64.sys is that it is used by ASUS Smart Doctor and possibly other of their programs. I would start troubleshooting by uninstalling any ASUS software which could be using the file and see if the errors persist or improve. If you see improvement, look for updated versions of your ASUS software.

I had not been able to find any programs (but I can uninstall drivers) which are still on my computer via CCleaner. I think I have uninstalled all 3rd party Asus programs (only found AI Suite III). Is this more likely to be driver based, should I roll back to an older version.

How would I uninstall a chipset driver and install an older version? I am trying to do that but the new version still stands, even though I have installed the older one, which prompted me to downgrade, which I did.
