Hey everyone!

I have a laptop running Windows 8.1 x64 (previously Win8 Home, pre-free upgrade). I got it about a year ago and, through school, video games, and experimentation with different programs, it's gotten pretty slow. I attempted to factory restore the laptop last night, but I received a message saying that a necessary drive partition was missing.

After some Google searching, I found someone who said that refreshing the laptop first would likely restore the partition so I could do a full restore. I tried that, and received another error message saying the drive where Windows is installed is locked. Fast-forward several hours, cups of coffee, and headaches, and I've tried just about every tutorial I could get my hands on. Nothing has worked. I've even tried running Darik's Boot and Nuke with no luck whatsoever. I even tried doing a restore point and, even though I create one whenever I'm asked by a program I'm installing, Windows can't find a single one to go back to.

Does anyone have any ideas on what else I should try? It was bugging me that my laptop is slow, and now that I can't fix it, it's driving me absolutely mad. It is a Windows 8.1 x64 laptop but, for some reason, Windows 8.1 Pro is now displayed in PC Properties.

Edit: My laptop and specs:
