So I installed my GTX 970 around 3 weeks ago and ever since I have had a very weird freezing issue that I cant fix. So lets say im watching a video or even playing a game sometimes it will freeze it is completely random and I move my mouse and it is back to normal again so I dont know if its a software or hardware problem. One thing I should note is that some things have helped temporarily like cleaning my registry with CCleaner worked but then I restarted my pc and it was back and I tried to clean it again and it didnt work and also turning off auto scan on my antivirus software which worked but then when I restarted my pc it didnt. So if someone could help me out and tell me if you think it is a software or hardware problem that would be great.

Solution
Hi there LegendOfTrent,

So, you have no issues when using your old GPU, right?
If this is the case, you can update your GPU drivers. In case the issue persists, you can roll them bag to an earlier version of the drivers.
I guess you can uninstall and do a clean install of your GPU drivers as well.

Hope this will help,
