Hi guys,
So basically I went ahead and bought 2 sticks of 4gb 1600 ram to total 8gb 1600 ram for my recent pc build, the company that I bought it from, one arrived dead on arrival so when I got a replacement they sent me the wrong one again!!

But long story short in the end I got what I ordered, then being the person I am I didn't settle for just that, I wanted compensation for the postage costs and my time time so they have offered 2 sticks of 2gb 1600 ram for free, my question is will this work on my pc to total of 12gb ram? I know its an odd number but hey 12gb is better than 8 if I'm not paying for it,

So if I keep the 2 4gbs in corresponding slots dual channel and the 2gb ones in the other two slots will this work without any problems, considering timings and speeds will be the same?

Thanks

I posted a question about ram compatibility too 2 days ago.I figured out what you're recommending through a moderator called Tradesman1.I wish that a computer professional would write a topic about building computers in detail.
