FPS Went From Good To Bad

I have had my desktop since the end of 2013. About a week ago my computer was running fine, around 40-60 fps in GTA V and other games, but now when ever I move in a game, my fps drops to 1 fps. Same with BF4, I would get into a game and start lagging and lossing fps, along with occasional freezes whilst being in the game. I have done a malware sweep and my cpu temp is a steady 30C. I dusted the computer out about a week ago. This issue makes some of my games unplayable, any help would be appreciated.

Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 290
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P
Ram: Crucial 16GB

I have figured out that it is my ps3 controller connect to my usb 3.0 slot, it causes problems. If you plug it into a non 3.0 slot it works fine, but when you use a 3.0 slot, causes fps loss. I don't know if this will help anyone, but this was my solution.
