Is a Corsair CX430 enough for this build?

Intel pentium G3258
EVGA GTX 750 1GB SC
ASRock Z97 Anniversary
Kingston RAM 4GB DDR3L
Toshiba 500GB Deskstar SATA 6GB/s
Zalman Z3 Plus Case (4 x 120mm fans)
Corsair CX430 (430 watt psu)

I will be adding more RAM and also will be slightly overclocking the pentium.

I just have concerns that psu wont be enough.

Thanks.

the cx is fine, its powering my htpc, of an A8 5600k, and a hd 7770, yet it is a cx430m. I used the cx430 in a basic system that just uses an old phenom II x4 945. If u stress it near its max output, it most likely wont last long, as lookitsrain said they are not the highest quality, but they are not that bad

I would not buy such a low quality psu. It's not a fire hazard or anything, but it would be more than worth it to spend a little more to get a solid unit.

Seasonic has numerous 300-350w units for $30ish that would be better. Even the EVGA 500b would be a small upgrade.

When did the CX become crap, I have one powering the Computer in my living room, came recommended a few years ago as a great budget PSU

And for that build , the EVGA 430 watt power supply would be plently, and its cheaper.

Thanks for the heads up on that!, would it be a straight forward process disabling those sleep states?.
Also, would the PSU be enough for a overclock of the G3258?

Thanks again.

And that review is 4 years old, lets take a look at a more recent Corsair cx that is a higher wattage version

Why buy a worse psu when you can get a better one in every single price point that any Corsair psu sits in, they overcharge so much to have corsair stamped on shit power supplies.

This is probably relevant if the OP was looking at CX750, but he's not. The inquiry is about the CX430's capability to support the spec he provided.

Even with that CX750M review - Yes, its probably not the best PSU in its price point, but I am sure many will agree that it is far from being the worst PSU in its market segment. I think the only major hit the CX750M got is the price, in which I tend to agree.

The review for the cx750m is pretty good for its price imo.

For the same price you can get this:

Cturbo said exactly what i think, why the buy a cx/cxm when there is better for the same price, makes zero sense.

Totally agree, thats a much better PSU, I would have bought that if it was available when I was buying.

That said, in some countries the CX series are the only good psus available on a budget, in these cases I dont think they are bad choices.
