this is the most i can spend on a pc right now, which one is the best one?
combo 1) Phenom Ii X4 965 3.4 Ghz/// Asus M4a79t/// r9 270x 4gb/// 8gb ram 1600mhz
combo 2) apu a10 7850k kaveri/// Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-UP4/// 8gb ram 1600mhz///
combo 3) fx 6300/// Gigabyte 970a Am3+/// r9 270x 4gb/// 8gb ram 1600mhz///

i dont plan to overclock, honestly im very ignorant on this and i dont want to screw up my pc
besides i would need a new psu and a new cooler
the parts are all new except for the r9 280x
i3 4160 haswell+asus h81m-k would be better than the combo 3?

if the i3 does NOT come with a gpu? nope. the fx6300 would be the better option, actually all 3 would be the better option. ok. no overclocking and all used

ranked like this

1) fx6300 + r9 270x
2) PHII x4 965be + r9 270x
3) A10-7850k
4) i3-4160

this is STRICTLY a gaming rating, and with the assumption these cpus will be used at stock settings, AND you have no plans to purchase additional/improved hardware in the future.

I would go with the 6300, it's a very good CPU for the price. Its 6 cores make it somehow future-ready because new games will come with better multi-threaded support. The 270X is enough to play almost any game at medium settings on a fullhd 1920x1080 monitor. Video editing will love the 6 cores as well.
