I was looking for a cheap motherboard that can handle my cpu. I'm using an AMD FX-6300 Black Edition. I was looking at the MSI 760GM-P23 Motherboard, but I heard it couldn't handle the FX-6300. I this true? And if so, do you have any suggestions for more powerful motherboards that can and have the same ports as the 760GM-P23?

After considering what you said "cheap motherboard that can handle my cpu. I'm using an AMD FX-6300 Black Edition", I suggest you, which has great price to performance ratio:

I suggested this assuming that you would be having a discrete graphics card. Because this board doesn't have a integrated GPU, needs a dedicated GPU. That's the only con.

(OR) If you think, the $69.98 ASRock 970 EXTREME4 is still way too costly, then consider this, which is certainly better than MSI 760GM-P23. But again you need a dedicated graphics card along with this board:

A capable board that can handle 8 core processors with TDP up to 125W (FX 8350/8320). So the board should handle this 6 core FX 6300, which has a TDP of 95W, like a champ!

Cheers!
