Keyboard and Mouse do not work after mobo upgrade

Need some help guys upgraded to maximus vii gene and my mouse and keyboard wont work but my keyboard works in the bios pls help thanks..

When i go to reinstall it does the same thing once i get past the windows loading screen my keyboard and mouse stop working but i can use it in bios

I finally got it to work i reinstaled windows using an old non usb keyboard and from there used my optical drive to install the mobo drivers and stuff and then it started working fine

The USB ports your using probably aren't native to the Intel chipset. Sometimes the manufactures use third-party chips(Asmedia for example) to give you more USB ports, usually USB 3 these days. Anyways, these ports won't work correctly until the drivers are installed for the motherboard, whereas the native chipset ports work fine.
