Does anyone know of a reasonably priced computer case preferably a mid tower case that has four 3.0 USB ports?

Installing is very easy... it's not much different than putting a CD/DVD drive. You just slide the unit into the slot and plug the cable into one of the headers on the motherboard. For every two ports, there is one cable. You asked for four ports... but you don't really need that.. Two will be more than enough.. and that will give you single cable. Remember, your motherboard will have some USB 3.0 ports in the rear... and you can use those extra rear ports for items you don't need to unplug all the time...

If push comes to shove... you could always just get an external USB 3.0 hub that sits on your desk.. you could get models with 4-8 ports on that.

The reason i'm asking this is because i'm buying a custom built desktop from a friend and his case has four 3.0 USB ports. So I don't want to waste any of the ports. I will check if the motherboard has a PCIe add on.

My motherboard has a few of the 3.0 in the back and the one I installed up front.. and guess what... I don't own any devices that use USB 3.0. However, I have used that 3.0 port to plug in USB 2.0 drives but I don't really have much need of those drives anymore since any data I wanted/needed to copy... I did it wirelessly through my router to my spare computers or tablet/phone.

But I understand you... it's always nice having the latest connection... if you don't have an immediate use for it.. because you never know.

I built my computer about 3 years ago and the only upgrades I've needed/done was to the SSD and upgrading my GPU a couple of times... but I've been thinking about building a new system from scratch... but right now it's not really worth it, especially with the new Intel CPU's about to come out and with USB 3.1 scheduled to appear some time year. I think I'll wait a bit with my build.

I see. Thank you for the input. Should I just look for a case that has two 3.0 USB ports than?
