Hello everyone, after 3 years my Roccat Kave 5.1 stoppped working, so now i need some suggestions for a new headset. I would like it to be sourround and not stereo, and my budget is around 120€. Thanks in advance for the help!!! :wahoo:

Also i have a Sound Blaster Z sound card so USB only hs would be a waste of money.

Oh wow, you guys are really getting price gouged!

FYI, you can attach a modmic to any headset to give it a mic. There are also mics for less than $10 you can get that will clip on.

These are open headphones, so that means you will be able to hear things around you. If you have noisey things going on around you , tell me as these aren't the best for that situation.
There are no headphones with true surround sound. They all have emulated surround but are really 2.1 headphones. Any headphone claiming to have surround is just advertising a cheap gimmick. Any set of headphones can be given virtual surround sound with even the cheapest of on-board audio chips.

The headphones you had came with 2 drivers each in cup. The problem with this is that you have 2 drivers that are closely vertically aligned trying to reproduce audio that is designed to be played on speakers that are far apart and all at ear level. The user comments backup the issues that this can cause.

Long story short, headphones can give you that surround sound experience but you shouldn't be searching for surround sound headphones. If you want to emulate surround sound, your audio card can do it for you.

If you want something that will give you excellent sound quality and that "surround sound" effect you are after the Audio-Technica ATH-A900X are a great choice.
