I run a windows 7 64 bit gaming pc.

graphics card - AMD Radeon HD 5450 and I plan on installing another soon so i can hook up a third monitor.

Processor - AMD Athlon(tm) X4 750K Quad Core Processor

RAM - 8.00GB

It has come to my attention after installing a new graphics card that my storage of almost 1TB is almost full.
It says I have 124GB free of 931GB.
I have ran WinDirStat and it says in my whole computer I am using 579.5GB which is correct but...
931GB take away the 579.5 which WinDirStat said I was using gets you is 351.5GB
But my computer is saying I only have 124GB left on my pc...
so where is my other 227.5GB being used?

Please can anyone help me try and understand where my other 227.5GB being used and how i can free up more space on my pc.

Welcome to the community, XxNevsterxX!

There are a lot of Windows system files that can take a lot of your storage space. I'd suggest you to turn off system restore and delete old restore points. Here's something from MS KB that might help you: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows/turn-system-restore-on-off
Another thing I can suggest is turning off hibernation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/920730?wa=wsignin1.0
Oh, yeah, doing a disk clean-up might also be a good idea, so here is a link that explains several ways to free up that space: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/

Hope it helps! :)
