I know Cyberpower and IBuyPower are terrible and the same company, Alien ware was killed by Dell etc...
So between Maingear, Xidax, OriginPC, Digitalstorm or Ironside, which would be the most reliable of them all?
Thanks in advance for the help!

OriginPC and Digitalstorm are two brands that I've watched over the past few years, since they seem to have a few very interesting products (OriginPC has the desktop i7 laptop, for example). Although I cant personally recommend them, their spec sheets seem to be good, so I'm guessing you'll be happy with either one of them.

Check this lifehacker article for proof: http://lifehacker.com/five-best-custom-pc-builders-1664766332\

Also, some poeple may not understand why you are going prebuilt, so I'll explain before the inevitable influx of replies say "don't buy prebuilt, etc":

Some people don't have the time to build a PC, or don't want to risk damaging one of the components due to mishandling. In that case, it is totally fine to buy a prebuilt machine from a reputed builder, but for the best value for money you should build the PC yourself.

I know some people who can build for people and get the best bang for the buck on THG. BUT I don't really know how to buy from a single person you understand. I'm not really assured of the reliability of them too.
In terms of the steam Machine, I'd buy one if they came out if It allowed me to play my other games too. With the Steam Machine you have to use the Steam Controller, and I can't play ArmA 3 with that. Unless it's interchangable between Win (7/8.1) and the Steam OS/Big Picture. In terms of DIY PC, I don't have the time, don't have the will to Overclock or anything, Raid etc. I don't want to mess it up, besides, I don't want to build a system perfectly fine only to find out the Mobo is screwed up.

It took me about 30 mins to make my computer... It is not hard at all. Building it is about 30 for me atleast, but making it nice and cable management took me ages. But then again I have a HUGE case. So I would recommend you build your own, if not, Probably digital storm since they use psus that you know instead of saying quality psu...

Around 2 years ago i was in the same situation. I wanted to buy a pre-built computer aimed at gaming, but they were too expensive and they usually don't deliver. But then i decided to take a "risk" and build it myself. And it was well worth it. I got 2x the performance of the cheapest computer what Digital Storm afford and it was around 250 dollars cheaper. So i really recommend building one yourself, but if you really want to buy a pre-built, rather than build one yourself i'd choose OriginPC or Digital Storm. Also what is your current budget? Usually under 500 pre-built pc's are a crap shoot.

Thanks for pointing that out, I guess I could take a few builds of PCP if I do end up building it myself.

Where did you hear that? From what I see, they use corsair HX series PSUs.

Here is a slade for example:

Even the bolt has an 80+ gold PSU:

Look at the buy selections. the psu is listed at the bottom. THats standard. You would need to add more money to get a better PSU. But I wouldn't know which PSU options since It won't open.

Have you considered a laptop with like a docking station? You could get one of Razer's laptops, the Razer Blades. I know a guy who owned one and was playing any current gen game at mid-high settings. You could use it portably, and when at home set it up with peripherals.

What happend's when your 3000 dollar laptop's motherboard breaks? It get's replaced / fixed? No. You would need to buy a entirely new laptop. Yay. :)

I've considered both Laptop and Desktop, but Desktop always wins because of the advantage when it comes to spare parts and upgrade ability/Repairs. By the looks of your suggestions, Origin is winning. I was interested in the Bolt 3 but with the PSU that they offer I'm not that impressed. If you have any laptop suggestions or PCP lists below 2500, feel free to post them. In the mean time I'm looking at what Origin has to offer. Thanks again guys.

I mean, yeah. You would. But I'm just making a suggestion. I still don't think prebuilts of anything are as reliable as just building it yourself.

Origin, Puget, Xotic, all of them have fake reviews on Reseller ratings. First review on the first day the account was made and then the account gets abandoned. I don't know what/who to trust.

I think a lot of that has to do with the custom paint jobs and the custom cases they use. Some of those paint jobs are pretty sweet if you check out the gallery on their website.
