Is ATI Radeon HD 4500 Series Good for gaming

Solution
They are also decidedly mid-range. I'm still using my 4830 which cost me less than $100 when new. The 4500s must have been around $60, and you don't get much out of cards selling for that price.

If you're mostly playing older games, it should be fine, but probably not anything released within the last year. I know I can't play any games in that time frame. I'm just waiting for Skylake to but a new system together, including a modern video card.

I agree with Mattios, it depends on your current specs and budget. A midrange solution would be something around a Radeon 280 or a Geforce 960. But depending on your power supply, CPU and other parts, it might not be worth upgrading the video card or it might be impossible. And with AMD relesing the 300 series next month, prices and recommendations may change a little.

Your power supply is possibly a limiting factor, but everything else looks solid. I would suggest a Geforce 970 or possibly a Radeon 290. The nVidia card is cooler and more power efficient, but you may get a little more bang for your buck from AMD. It all comes down to availability and pricing at the stores you frequent and your own personal preference-- red or green?
