Scoping around eBay for DDR2 RAM I noticed various sellers offering supposedly AMD-only RAM. Googling around revealed various results, both confirming and denying it's actual compatibility with Intel CPUs.

1) So, what is the conclusion? Intel (specifically, Core 2 Duo E6550 in Asus P5K SE motherboard) can use this RAM?

2) While I have heard of horror stories resulting from buying cheap RAM on eBay, I myself have only had positive experiences when buying DDR1. Can anyone comment on this one? The seller seems to have a decent rating though.

Solution
The DDR2 memory might be compatible (with (some) Intel chipset motherboards), but that depends on the memory architecture used.

Problem with this eBay listing is that it doesn't provide the module part number (as well), which is more useful in determining memory compatibility.

Could try this memory anyway. But if found to be incompatible, then return for refund or replacement. However return shipping cost will be incurred.
