I would like to improve my PC a bit and I have my budget really limited.
I got MSI GF615M-P33 motherboard and I'm considering buing AMD Athlon II X4 640 and Radeon R7 250X. Will Radeon work (without any addition work) with my motherboard or is it any better GPU in that price range? And how about power supply, which one you guys suggest?

greetings

PCIe is a backward compatible interface. So the fact that the new card is version 3.0 won't make any difference. Depending on the make/model of the PSU you have now, you may be alright with what you have. The 250x a 95W card (TDP) and will require a good quality 400W PSU or better.

Hi, thanks for respond I've read somewhre that 1.0 x16 motherboards provide only 75W to GPU, so have i do something else
than plugging GPU into motherboard?

In the case of the R7-250X, not really. The card isn't fast enough to really saturate v1.0 at 16 lanes anyway. Theoretically, v1.0 has about 1/4 the throughput as v3.0. But even high end cards don't saturate v2.0 yet at 16 lanes.

v1.x (2.5 GT/s):
250 MB/s (×1)
4 GB/s (×16)

v2.x (5 GT/s):
500 MB/s (×1)
8 GB/s (×16)

v3.0 (8 GT/s):
985 MB/s (×1)
15.75 GB/s (×16)

v4.0 (16 GT/s):
1969 MB/s (×1)
31.51 GB/s (×16
