Does this PSU work with my system?

Hey everyone.

I'm in the market to buy a new PSU. My current one makes some weird noises, and besides that, I've been wanting to shell out and get a pretty decent PSU for a while now.

Here's my current system:

i-7 4790k
Asus Sabertooth MK 1 mobo.
MSI GTX 980 4g gaming.
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620 modular.

I've been wanting to get a Seasonic, as I've heard that they're the best brand there is. This is the one I'm looking at, Seasonic XP-660 Platnium:

I like that it's modular and has options for, as I understand it, an option to turn off the PSU fan altogether when not needed.

So what do you guys think? Is this a good one to get, and, most importantly, as I have no clue with this stuff: is it fully compatible with my system?

If there's any other ones you can recommend that would be better, please let me know.

cheers.

Wow. That second review in particular was extremely reassuring.

Yeah, I feel like the PSU is the one part I've never really cared as much for - even though I know I should - and that it's time to change that.

I'm not too worried about going SLI. I use the PC mainly for games, but the 980 alone handles every game I throw at it for now, and should for a considerable time.

Thanks.

Looks like the place I want to order it from might have them in within the next two days, so I might wait for the 660W version. I read in that review that the 760's fan can be a bit loud. I'm a bit of a noise freak. I'm assuming less watts will mean it will be more quiet? I might not even be able to hear it over everything else in the system anyway.

What so it would still be silent even under full load when gaming?

According to that review, yes. Only when you have a load superior to 600w you will start noticing fan noise. Your computer requires less than 500W at full load, so you will be far from reaching 760w, or even 600w
