It depends on what you want, really. Do you want a small portable machine or a larger more upgradable one?

Are things other than the system included in budget? Monitor as well?

Clam: I want anything that is in my budget and no I have a moniter.
Wolf: Sure it would be fine paying someone trusted.

For a note though I am not buying at the moment but in the near future I just want to know my options.

Check the Yellow Pages to see if there are any computer repair shops in town. If so, give them a call or better yet, go visit them. Talk to them a bit. See if they'd be willing, if you gave them a list of components (which we at Tom's would provide) would they be willing to put it together for you.

I'd also recommend updating this thread title to something else or starting a new thread for a $2700-$3200 custom build and let folks know you intend to have someone else build it for you.

I just wanted to chime in again. I'm guessing the monitor you have isn't exactly worth of a $3,000 computer. I would suggest putting some of the machine's budget into a 4K monitor or at least a 1440p monitor.
